Le 17 mars 2001, le FC Nantes de Raynald Denoueix tordait le CS Sedan-Ardennes (4-1), Sonny Anderson inscrivait un doublé à Auxerre et le Stade rennais en plantait six au Roudourou. Le 17 mars 2001 naissait Pietro Pellegri.

La Fiorentina freine Naples, la Roma fait le boulot

Quinze ans, neuf mois et cinq jours plus tard, Pietro Pellegri a été lancé dans le grand bain de la Serie A en remplaçant Tomás Rincón à la 42e minute de Torino-Genoa (1-0), jeudi soir. L’attaquant du Genoa égale ainsi le Romain Amedeo Amadei, qui avait établi un record de précocité dans le championnat italien en… 1937.

Vincent Thill fait clairement figure d’ancien à côté.
