Le Qatar a remporté sa deuxième Coupe d’Asie des nations consécutive, ce samedi, en dominant la Jordanie (3-1) devant 80 000 personnes au stade de Lusail (Qatar). Lors d’une rencontre d’abord fermée et marquée par de nombreuses fautes (26), Al-Annabi a bénéficié de trois penaltys, tous inscrits par Akram Afif, meilleur joueur et meilleur buteur de cette Coupe d’Asie 2023 avec huit buts… Et surtout fin magicien, comme il l’a prouvé sur la célébration de son premier but.
Fin du rêve en revanche pour la Jordanie, outsider, qui aura tout de même atteint ce stade de la compétition pour la première fois de son histoire, et existé dans cette finale, à l’image de l’égalisation de Yazan Al-Naimat en milieu de deuxième période. Et quelle égalisation !
