Le Japon retire aussi sa candidature à l’organisation du Mondial féminin 2023

Les Nippons jettent l’éponge.

D’après des informations de l’agence de presse japonaise Kyodo, le Japon devrait retirer sa candidature à l’organisation de la Coupe du monde féminine 2023. Une réunion du conseil d’administration de la Fédération japonaise doit avoir lieu ce lundi pour entériner la décision. Pour rappel, la FIFA doit annoncer ce jeudi l’organisateur du prochain mondial.

Retour des supporters le 10 juillet au Japon

Cette rétractation arrive après celle du Brésil au début du mois. Encore considéré il y a peu comme le principal rival du ticket Australie/Nouvelle-Zélande, le Japon laisse la voie libre au duo océanien. Sauf bouleversement complètement inattendu dans les prochains jours, les Australiens et Néo-Zélandais devraient pouvoir fêter le succès de leur candidature, au détriment de celle de la Colombie, seul rival encore en lice.
