Deuxième Ballon d’or africain consécutif pour Mohamed Salah

C’est la seconde fois consécutive qu’il remporte ce prix, devançant cette année Sadio Mané et Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
« Je dédie ce prix à mon pays, l’Égypte » , a déclaré brièvement le joueur.
La CAF a aussi dévoilé l’équipe type africaine de l’année. On y retrouve des joueurs comme Mehdi Benatia, Ryad Mahrez, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Sadio Mané ou encore Serge Aurier.
